Hi, I’m Emily Wheatley, and I’m delighted to be part of the Little Classroom™ team, bringing my experience as a primary school teacher to create a nurturing, engaging and supportive learning environment.

 

I qualified as a primary school teacher in July 2015 and have over 10 years’ experience working with children across a range of schools and year groups. I began my career at a village school just outside Hertford, teaching in Key Stage One before spending a year teaching in Australia across schools in Melbourne. This was an amazing experience that helped me develop my teaching skills while working with children from different backgrounds and learning environments.

Since returning to the UK, I have continued to work across the primary age range in a variety of educational settings. Three years ago, my family and I relocated from the South to Harrogate, where I began working at a wonderful local school.

Throughout my career, I have developed a real passion for helping children become confident, independent learners and supporting them to overcome any barriers they may face.

​

I believe every child learns differently, and I am passionate about providing engaging, personalised teaching that helps children make progress while developing a genuine love of learning.

I am now incredibly excited to bring my experience and passion for education to Little Classroom™ Harrogate, supporting local children and families and creating a welcoming place where children can learn, grow and thrive.
